Mystic Mountains - A low stakes RPG

Once upon a time, there was a land devastated by a war...

A long time has passed since the days of great world-ending disasters. Though it may not be a utopia, the land where Thalnir [or your custom character] resides is peaceful and free from imminent danger. This means that Thalnir [or your custom character] is not obligated to embark on a grand adventure, but rather can indulge in exploring the breathtaking Mystic Mountains, interacting with other adventurers seeking low-stakes quests, and completing a variety of interesting and engaging tasks. The world is open to them, with countless taverns to visit and flowers to collect, each one revealing new and exciting aspects of the game's lore. As they progress, they will be able to level up, learn new skills, and enhance their abilities. So, embrace the simple pleasures of your time in this world, and bask in the rich and intricate universe that surrounds you.

My game mockups draw their main inspiration from the starting areas of World of Warcraft, particularly Coldridge Valley and Northshire Valley. These zones embody a low-stakes atmosphere with easy-to-defeat enemies, creating a sense of ease and comfort for players as they explore. However, it's the charming taverns dotted around the area that truly capture the spirit of these zones, providing a welcoming respite for weary adventurers. As you explore my game, you too can relish in the pleasures of these quaint taverns, each with its own unique character and atmosphere. So, get lost in the charming and magical world of this game, where low-stakes adventures and inviting taverns await you at every turn.

With an RPG leveling system, players can progress at their own pace, mastering new skills and abilities as they go.

Explore a medium-sized open world filled with all sorts of interesting NPCs to talk to and minigames to enjoy.

The simple combat system is reminiscent of WoW, making it easy for players of all levels to jump right in.

Along with exploring the world and completing quests, players can also participate in various minigames, such as

• outdrinking a dwarf challenge (only available to non-dwarves)
• dart-throwing contests
• baking competitions
• firework displays (only available to wizards and halflings), and more!

With plenty of fun and engaging activities, this game is sure to keep players entertained for hours on end.
